About Methodist Church Nanded
Our History
It was in the year 1915, Rev. Yeshwantrao Bhakare took the challenge to witness and preach the word of God, that salvation is only through Jesus Christ.
Nanded city is famous city in Marathawada and is situated on the bank of river Godavari. This remote area of Maharashtra was a real testing period for Rev.Y. Bhakare, he started the ministerial work in a rented house, without electicity and other basic amenities. He used to visit houses and nearby place and within short span of time the circuit was formed and it was supervised by the District-Superintendent of Washim District the then M.C.S.A., Bombay Annual Conference in succession of Rev. Y. Bhakare, Rev. & Mrs. Paul Wagner laid the foundation stone for the church Building.
